Practical wine guides from an independent French publisher, adapted for the way Australians buy, serve and store wine.
Jeremy Degryse and Vinabox
Jeremy Degryse founded Vinabox and its French-language wine channel. He is based in Grenoble, France. He writes about wine, visits and accessories, and the original French edition includes his own experiences. Vinabox is published by HONOM SASU.
Jeremy is self-taught. He does not claim a WSET or DUAD qualification. A personal tasting or product test is identified as such only when he actually carried it out.
What changes for Australia
The Australian edition uses local regions, bottle shops, food references and units. Shiraz and Syrah are discussed together, Riesling starts with Clare and Eden Valley, and buying advice accounts for state and territory delivery rules. An American price or bottle-shop recommendation is not carried across as Australian advice.
Our Australian guides draw on source material from the French and US editions, then add local research. They do not imply that Jeremy has visited every Australian region, tasted every wine described or tested an Australian retail bundle.
How the guides are prepared
- Use primary sources for laws, market statistics and manufacturer specifications.
- Separate general style descriptions from a tasting note about a particular bottle.
- Date price checks and identify the exact model, currency and source.
- Treat preservation durations as manufacturer claims unless supported by a stated Vinabox test.
- Correct errors when better evidence becomes available.
Commercial relationships
Vinabox earns affiliate revenue in France. This edition has no affiliate links. Links to Australian merchants and the local Coravin store are ordinary links and earn Vinabox no commission. There is no Vinabox Australian discount code or promised saving.
If a commercial relationship is introduced, the affected content must disclose it clearly. Payment, a free sample or an earlier test in France must not be presented as an independent Australian retail purchase.
