Cookies and similar storage can remember choices in your browser. This policy covers the Australian edition. Policy date: 20 October 2026.
Adult confirmation
The Australian edition is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The cookie vinabox_au_age_verified stores your adult confirmation for 30 days and is limited to the /au/ path. It records your confirmation, not a verified date of birth. We do not ask readers to upload identity documents.
A website age prompt does not replace the age checks required of a retailer or delivery provider.
Essential storage and administrator access
Essential storage may support age confirmation, security and privacy preferences. WordPress also uses authentication and settings cookies when an administrator signs in. These functions are separate from advertising or audience measurement.
Google Analytics 4 is optional. It is blocked until you accept Statistics in the Complianz banner. No Analytics requests are sent before a choice or after refusal. The site has no advertising trackers or embedded video players. Following an external link opens a service with its own policy.
Your browser choices
You can inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. The exact controls vary by browser and device. Clearing storage may reset adult confirmation and other preferences, so you may be asked again.
Blocking all storage may prevent preferences from being remembered. It does not create a right to bypass the adult-readership policy. Refusing statistics still allows access to the editorial text.
Australian privacy context
Whether a cookie involves regulated personal information depends on the information and the circumstances. Australia does not have one general cookie-consent regime identical to the European one. As a French publisher, HONOM also has European obligations. We require consent before Analytics runs for all readers, including readers in Australia.
See the privacy policy for the publisher, overseas handling and your rights. Questions can be sent to contact@vinabox.net.

Analytics and consent storage
After you accept Statistics, Google Analytics 4 uses cookies to distinguish visits and sessions. This edition uses the vinabox_au cookie prefix and /au/ path for its Analytics cookies, with a maximum lifetime of two years. Complianz stores functional privacy preferences for up to one year. The document below lists the categories and provides controls to change your choice.
